Wood Pellet Alternative- Wheat Pellets

Searching for a Wood Pellet Alternative?

Update: Earthinhand is no longer selling Wheat Pellets, but does still sell Corn Stoves and corn for the corn stoves.

Earth-in-Hand is now selling 50lb bags of Wheat Pellets, which are made out of waste by product that results when wheat is processed into its usable form. Wheat pellets produce about 7800 BTU per lb. and has ash of about 6%. Wheat maybe an alternative to people using wood pellets rather than corn because it burns cooler than corn, but slightly higher than wood. If someone would like to use wheat pellets as an alternative to wood pellets, they should first consult with either their owners manual or with the stove manufacturer.
