Environment Festival

The festival last weekend started out a little wet, and continued to be wet through Saturday, but by the end of the day it warmed up quite nicely. I was a little shocked by the number of corn stove businesses that were at the fesitval this year. Overall it was a great time with lots of great information to be had for everyone. Some participating vendors that I noticed included:

There are probably more, and if I discover more, I will add them when time permits.

Energy Festival

Corn Stove events!

Next weekend marks the 2nd Annual PA Renewable Energy and Sustainable Living Festival to be held at the Kempton Community Center.  Events include numerous classes on environmental living to include solar power, wind and hydorgen energy, and political awareness. The event is being run by the Mid-Atlantic Renewable Energy Association(MAREA), which will be raffling off a hybrid car. For more information on the event, see the Festival Web site http://www.paenergyfest.com/.

We were truly amazed by the turnout to last years festival, which spilled over throughtout the rest of year. People were continually calling us up or emailing us about our stoves, after having seen us in Kempton. This year promises to be even bigger. Several of the Earth-in-Hand crew will be sleeping out, as camping for a nominal fee is an option.

If you manage to make it out stop in say hello.

Corn Stove/Grill Marketing | Tailgating

Tailgaiting Corn Grill- A great idea I feel would be to attend some organized sporting events that are known for their tailgaiting parties, and tail gate with a corn grill. I believe the other tailgaiters, both sober and under the influence would be amazed. Definetly need to work on getting it out there. I do know more than one Penn State grad, and have had numerous invitations to go to Penn State. Perhaps I should indulge in a little college football tailgaiting with my Corn Grill.

Corn Stoves at the Pa Renewable Energy & Sustainable Living Festival

September 22-23, 2006, Earth-in-Hand will next be at the second annual http://www.paenergyfest.com/ located at the Kempton Community Center, Kempton, PA. We had a great time at last years festival, and hope to be able to take in a few of the educational seminars that are occuring during the weekend. Visitors can learn a lot about current trends in environmental grass roots programs. If you go on the site and order tickets, you can enter a contest to win a hybrid car.  Be sure to come out to Kempton, it will be a great time for all.
